Whats going on with the Kingdom of Bahrain?

I don't know about you, but to me Bahrain is kinda interesting these days:

-The King's handsome younger son, Nasser, marries the daughter of the Ruler of Dubai.

-UAE's Mubadala and Occidental Petroleum invested a huge chunk of money on a gas drilling exploration project in Bahrain!!!

Bahrain? Gas? Since when did they have any gas?
Well apparently they did unearth something last month.

-They built a bridge to connect them directly to Qatar within a 30 minute drive. More tarqeem action from qatari boys on weekends.

-ohhh one more thing...they opened up a Nikki Beach at the Ritz Carlton. (Weekend in Bahrain anybody?)

A weekend in Bahrain does sound interesting! I was impressed when I went years ago and saw that area that was full of quirky cool restaurants. Over the years even the shopping scene there improved. Mix that with the company of Bahrainis who are just AWESOME and you got yourself a nice little break :D

*wondering if they're ever gonna discover gas in Kuwait?*

Even if we did have gas, we wouldn['t use the money effeciently in kuwait. In fact i think the opposite would happen as there would be more outrageous demands from highly qualified MPs like dropping the loans, giving housewives a salary, increasing students' salary, etc etc....all leading to increased inflation and real estate prices. I don't want gas!!!

But I'm wondering why kuwait isn't in on the investment of this gas exploration deal in bahrain. Mubadala holding has a 32 % stake in it.

gold digging Anonymous,

LOL, well maybe she has a sister you could marry?

Hey CD =)

It's nice seeing you blog again.
Welcome back.
And you should come visit Bahrain, especially nowadays. The weather is amazing, and there are lots of things to do around the island.

Though I don't promise you handsome guys like Sh. Nasser -- but I will help you get hooked to a smart, hot, charming ba7rainaaay ;)
